Description:
This is considered one of Canada’s top Financial Districts, as Canada’s version of a Wall Street. The major banks, brokerages, and financial institutions are located here. The major Canadian financial banks are BMO, TD, RBC, Bank of Nova Scotia, and CIBC. The Toronto Stock Exchange is also located in the Financial District. There are several premium dining establishments in this area. As a point of interest, there is also a district of shops and restaurants built underground which connect several downtown buildings in this area called the “PATH” that are fun to explore.

-To the North is City Hall. To the South is: Union Station, CN Tower, and Ripley’s Aquarium.
-The King Streetcar travels east and west from the intersection of King St. and Bay St. Travelling east leads to: Roy Thompson Hall, The Theatre District, and a trendy dining district known as Liberty Village. The Bay St. bus goes south to Front St. or north to Bloor St. (Yorkville Shopping District).
-If travelling downtown, it may be useful to get a “Presto Card”, which generally permits 90 minutes of transfer on the TTC network.
